Believe it or not: Dalya Edition
I booked my first freelance gig at 19 and simply never clocked out.
Hi, I’m Dalya — an aspiring art director and seasoned graphic designer based in Toronto. I’ve worked with international brands, built things from scratch, and turned “wait… can we actually do that?” into “okay wait, that’s actually kind of iconic.”
I’ve dipped my toes into branding, packaging, marketing, social, print, digital — if it needs a concept and a little personality, I’m in. I’ve had the privilege to create for brands like West49, Urban Planet, Zoo York, YellaBrowns, Baci, Rovagnati, and Vita Sana — which still feels mildly illegal in the best way.
Somewhere between in-house roles and contract life, I launched an Etsy shop, freelanced my digital services, and discovered I thrive in the sweet spot between strategy and slightly delusional creative confidence. (The good kind.)
Outside of work, I paint pet portraits, thrift like it’s an Olympic qualifier, chase sunsets, and attend local art events. I curate moody playlists specifically for awkward elevator rides or long commutes.
Ever been claustrophobic inside a 4,500-year-old pyramid? I have.
Ever looked down mid-skydive and immediately questioned your life choices? Same.
I dare to go where no one will — creatively or otherwise.
So if you’re looking for someone who’s done a little bit of everything, believes good ideas deserve great execution, and treats creativity like both a craft and a playground — you’ve found her.
